Kory\u016b bujutsu is the practise of classical Japanese warrior fighting systems\/school that predate the modern (Meiji 1868) era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the European Kory\u016b-bujutsu Convention is twofold:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>to encourage the academic study of kory\u016b bujutsu and the exchange of ideas among practitioners of kobujutsu ry\u016bha in Europe.<\/li><li>to offer the interested public a serious and accessible platform to learn more about authorized kobujutsu and get in touch with the respective study groups in Europe.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The main events of the EKC 2025 will be held on Sunday April13th:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>10:30 \u2013 11:30 \u2013 Lecture (on invitation only)<\/li><li>12:30             \u2013 Opening public embu<\/li><li><strong>13:00<strong> \u2013 17:00 <\/strong>\u2013 Public embu<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The lecture will be \u201c<strong>Unravelling the Cords<\/strong>\u201d by Alex Allera:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Unravelling the Cords is the first complete annotated translation of the original text of the Taisha-ry\u016b Kaich\u016b (\u30bf\u30a4\u6368\u6d41\u89e3\u7d10), as well as a document penned by Taisha-ry\u016b\u2019s founder \u2013 Marume Kurando (1540\u20131629) \u2013 containing an original text by Kamiizumi Nobutsuna (ca. 1508\u20131577) \u2013 the renowned founder of the Shinkage-ry\u016b school and Kurando\u2019s own swordsmanship master.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The EKC will be held in the Kennemer Sporthallen: the historical Sport Center in the area:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXcczbxGmfFKDf5JeK4PUg-m0j_q8u5szN7wuT-EJrNF5EwADBiiB1p963gHNXszJg0QWu4um9YlMZowZxvADxzC-9S64c-PMn10ai2Dh5XKJ4REZaYw4bUedgdDZuX0jZYNf4h15A?key=ZcMonju5Sfwrkm9Bxs6xuFvJ\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-container-1 wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p>IJsbaanlaan 4A, 2024 AV Haarlem, The Netherlands<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday April 13th 2025 the 8th edition of the EKC (European Kory\u016b-bujutsu Convention) will be held in the Greater Amsterdam Area (in Haarlem).
