The aim of this initiative is twofold:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to encourage the academic study of kory\u016b bujutsu and the exchange of ideas among practitioners of kobujutsu ry\u016bha in Europe.<\/li>\n<li>to offer the interested public a serious and accessible platform to learn more about authorized kobujutsu and get in touch with the respective study groups in Europe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Apart from a growing network, this takes the form of en event takes place yearly and consists of 2 parts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>academic lecture on kory\u016b-bujutsu<\/li>\n<li>public embu of all the participating schools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The convention was first <a title=\"2012 EKC Rotterdam\" href=\"http:\/\/www.koryubujutsu.eu\/?page_id=28\">held in 2012<\/a>, had a lecture by Chip Armstrong and saw 5 kory\u016b participate in the embu.<\/p>\n<p>The second convention was <a title=\"2014 EKC Rotterdam\" href=\"http:\/\/www.koryubujutsu.eu\/?page_id=34\">held in 2014<\/a>, had a lecture by Serge Mol and saw 10 kory\u016b participate in the embu.<\/p>\n<p>Both events were hosted by Joris van Nispen, director of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/shofukan.nl\/engindex.php\" target=\"_blank\">Shofukan in Rotterdam<\/a>, The Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014, as the founder of the EKC events, Joris van Nispen passed organisation of future events over to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kochokai.nl\/?page_id=20&amp;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\">Arjan F. Tervoort<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On August 30th 2015 the 3rd edition will be <a title=\"2015 EKC Amsterdam\" href=\"http:\/\/www.koryubujutsu.eu\/?page_id=43\">held in Amsterdam<\/a> at the &#8220;Sporthallen Zuid&#8221;. Both the speaker and the lineup have yet to be established. The event will be hosted by Arjan F.
